THIS IS WHERE IT'S AT RECORDS or T.I.W.I.A for short is the fictitious label owned by Ray Mahoney, the rock and roll manager in R-O-R. The label is loosely based on Sean McLusky's 1-2--3-4 Records - original home to artists like Whitey and Babyshambles.
For the film, Ivor Novello Award Winning songwriter Siobhan Fahey (Shakespear's Sister) worked alongside William Blanchard and Julian Shah-Tayler to create songs for the character Astrid Angel (played by Alysson Paradis). Taking her inspiration from the likes of Serge Gainsbourg and Francoise Hardy - Siobhan, Wil & Julian revved-up he sound of a modern day pop chanteuse adding a lyrically French twist.. By clicking on the Siobhan poster (right) you can explore the songs, sights and sounds of Astrid Angel..
Producer Sean McLusky worked with Rhys James to create the signature songs for the band featured in the film - an indie-rock four-piece called FORMS. The songs and the sound are both powerful and envocative - perhaps best described as a cinematic riff that encompasses the pleasure and pain of Britain's disaffected youth... By clicking on Rhys's poster (far right) you can e learn more about East London's finest - Forms...
Additional songs for the film are written by Executive Producer Mark Vennis with Duncan LeFeuvre, Russell Crank of duo Autokratz and 'House On Fire' by Grant Fulton and Pete Mauder performed by Les McKeown.
